Abstract

A growing number of recent research, including both cancer cell research and clinical data shows that solid cancers are hierarchical inheritance a small population of cancer stem cells (CSCs). The presence of CSCs in a solid tumor could result in poor tumor control probability. The purposes of the study are to study CSC radiosensitivity parameters (e.g., α and β) to help us understand the underlying mechanisms of radioresistance and design treatment regimens accordingly.
