Abstract
The paper gives a survey of experimental results concerning the chemical behaviour and radiation chemical reactions of inorganic iodine compounds in a model WWER coolant, the reactions of iodine with methane taking place in the gas phase on irradiation and the radiolysis of inorganic iodine compounds as well as of CH 3I in the spray solutions.
