AJR 2010;194:WS5–WS9 0361–803X/10/1943–WS5 © American Roentgen Ray Society OBJECTIVE A 10-month-old girl presented with an abnormal left posterior head shape and was referred for head CT to evaluate for the possibility of lambdoid craniosynostosis. At CT, a diagnosis of deformational plagiocephaly was made. An understanding of CT criteria to differentiate posterior deformational plagiocephaly from abnormal head shape caused by lambdoid craniosynostosis is necessary to help make the correct diagnosis.
