Abstract

Tuning moderated neutrons for radioisotope production is based on an activator design and materials that are used in the indirect production method. Utilizing low energy/current protons from a small cyclotron in order to achieve suitable saturation yield of molybdenum has been suggested here. This study investigates molybdenum transmutation via simulation of neutron activator including natural lead and/or water moderators besides a graphite reflector.
