Abstract
Radiocarbon variations associated with releases from Bohunice nuclear power plant have been observed in monthly atmospheric 14CO2 samples during the last 30 years with peak radiocarbon activity enrichment levels as high as 350‰. Simultaneously, relative depletion in radiocarbon levels as low as −10‰ has been observed due to radiocarbon-free fossil fuel emissions in the region (Suess effect).
