Abstract

The propagation of radio waves in the heliosphere is controlled by largescale structures and small-scale inhomogeneities of the interplanetary electron density. We review some recent observations of propagation effects due to these features: intensity scintillation of cosmic radio sources and scattering of interplanetary type III radio bursts. Both yield important information on the heliospheric structure.
