Abstract

Objective: We have documented the suppression of electrical remodeling by N-acetylcysteine (NAC) in experimental autoimmune myocarditis (EAM), and it indicates the possible role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in development of the cardiac remodeling. In the present study, the generation of the oxidative stress and the effects of radical scavengers on the development of cardiac remodeling were evaluated in rat EAM.
