Abstract

We described a case of osteosarcoma involving the proximal end of the humerus which was successfully treated by interscapulo-thoracic resection following preoperative arterial infusion of adriamycin, and another case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma involving the inguinal region which was treated by hemipelvic resection.Detailed investigation of tumor localization by computerized tomography and precise observation of preoperative arterial infusion of adriamycin is a useful method to determine indication for radical resection of malignant bone and soft tissue tumors.
