Abstract

We report the observation of interband luminescence in aAs 2Se 3 and present results on the variation of the spectral shape and intensity of this luminescence with excitation photon energy and temperature. These results are interpreted in terms of non-thermal distribution of photoexcited carriers resulting from the existence of localized states above the mobility gap.
