Abstract
This work applies the integral equation method to study radiative transfer in a two-dimensional cylindrical medium exposed to collimated radiation. The validity of this work is examined by comparing the present results with the results available in the literature. The effects of parameters, such as the aspect ratio, the optical thickness and the scattering albedo, are investigated.
