Abstract

The radiative decays of vector mesons in the context of Zweig's rule and SU(3) breaking are examined. It is found that a general amplitude for the decays can be expressed in terms of seven parameters and it is solved for these parameters by fitting to the experimental data. It is found that the nonrelativistic quark model gives a reasonable explanation for the sizes of these parameters.
