Abstract

An excitation function of the unresolved radiative capture γ ray transitions to the ground- and first-excited states of 23Na has been measured for 7Li( 16O, γ) 23Na. A resonance-like structure is observed at E X = 25.4 MeV ( Γ = 0.63 ±0.20 MeV). The peak cross section is equal to 2.4 ± 0.8 μb.
