Abstract
Weak X-ray emission lines from a series of iron compounds with energies in the range 5900–6970 eV can be rationalised as due to the K → M 2 radiative Auger process. A peak was also observed at ca. 6930 eV, of unknown origin which had a very low intensity in some low-spin compounds.
