Abstract

Radiation tolerance studies were made on double-sided silicon microstrip detectors for the Silicon Tracking System of the Compressed Baryonic Matter experiment at FAIR. The prototype detectors from two different vendors were irradiated to twice the highest expected fluence (1×10141MeVneqcm−2) in the CBM experimental runs of several years. Test results from these prototype detectors both before and after irradiations have been discussed.
