Abstract

Among extranodal lymphomas, orbital lymphoma is a relatively rare presentation. Its most common histological subtype is a marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). Orbital MALT lymphoma is usually indolent and shows slow growth, but the mass effect due to tumor growth frequently induces proptosis and visual disorders. We carried out a review to ascertain treatment efficacy and toxicity of radiation therapy in primary MALT lymphoma of the orbit. We also evaluated changes in visual acuity after irradiation.
