Abstract
A new instrument is reported for shape factor determination for radiation exchange between a finite and an infinitesimal surface. The underlying principle for shape factor measurement by this instrument is based on a single optical projection of intercepting surface contour on an oblique axis coplanar with the normal of the infititesimal surface. The range of measurement covers values from 0–1 for shape factor. The error is estimated analytically.
