Abstract

Despite yielding excellent local tumor control, the long term visual outcome following plaque radiotherapy is poor. The purpose of this study is to examine the incidence of radiation retinopathy (RR) and radiation optic neuropathy (RON) following I-125 and Ru-106 plaque therapy for the treatment of small choroidal melanomas as a function of radiation dose to the macula and optic disc.
