Abstract

The routine use of an electronic photographic technique as a method for further reduction of radiation in obstetrical radiography is presented. Significant reduction in the calculated doses to the maternal ovaries and fetal gonads can be obtained in addition to the reduction in dose rate afforded by the use of high-speed screens, improved filtration, and improved developing techniques, with careful positioning of the patient.
