Abstract

AbstractRadiological protection has traditionally been concerned with the protection of human beings, but it is now recognized that this approach has to be complemented by a measured concern for the protection of the environment as a whole. This broader synthesis brings with it both new challenges and opportunities, some aspects of which are briefly discussed. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
