Abstract

The moment method solution in the spectral domain is used to determine the current distribution and the field of a short constant-width slot antenna (CWSA). For the first time, the far-field radiation patterns of a CWSA with a length of 1λg (where λg is the wavelength of the slot in the front of the antenna) are presented. The computed H-plane radiation pattern shows a large sidelobe. This is verified experimentally.
