Abstract
The mass attenuation coefficient, effective atomic number and electron density were measured in the composition of bismuth sodium calcium borosilicate at different concentration (x = 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 mole %) of glass system, by using the gamma-ray is examined at 662 KeV of photon energies. The theoritical values of mass attenuation coefficient of prepared glass samples were measured by using WinXCom program. The obtained result shows that the mass attenuation coefficient, effective atomic number, half value layer and electron density increases with the increasing concentration of Bi2O3, and good agreement with experimental values. The optical and physical properties of the prepared glass samples were also investigated.
