Abstract

The height of radiation-induced steps at rational multiples (1/m) of the fundamental voltage can be obtained from analytic conditions applied to the solution of the differential equation describing the equivalent circuit of the junction. The explicit formulas have been evaluated with1=0, 1, and 2 form=1, 2, 3, ... The dependence of the step height on the amplitude of the external radiation has qualitatively the same oscillating character as found in the usual Josephson effect with sinusoidal current-phase relation.
