Abstract

Thirty-two rabbits received a single dose of 750, 1,500, 3,000, or 3,500 rads to the right lung, while another group received a single dose of 4,500-6,000 rads. Unusual perfusion changes observed included (a) early hyperemia and increased perfusion during the first week after 1,500–3,500 rads and (b) decreased perfusion 2–4 hours after lethal doses (4,500–6,000 rads).
