Abstract
The paper presents the results of theoretical and experimental investigations of coefficients of heat transfer from plasma to walls of the MHD combustion chamber and generator channel. In the paper, formulas allowing to calculate convection and radiation heat transfer in the combustion chamber and MHD channel, was elaborated. Presented results are the effects of calculations based on formulas mentioned above. In the paper, the results of the experimental investigations on the 4 MW thermal power MHD generator installed in the Technical University of Poznan, Poland, are given.
