Abstract

In this report, an effective solution, by the method of moments in the spatial domain, is employed to analyze a cylindrically conformal array antenna, which consists of two symmetrically placed radiating elements. Each element represents either a single patch or an array of patches. The solution needs to spatially analyse the Green's function for electrical sheet currents symmetrically distributed on the surface of a dielectric coated cylinder. The Green's function for a single sheet current has been already derived due to a special annihilating technique. Now we seek to extend the single patch solution to arrays of patches symmetrically placed on a dielectric substrate. In addition, some steps are made in an effort to advance the solution to electrically large cylinders. A probe considered in terms of a line charge model excites each patch.
