Abstract

The effect of radiation and thermal stratification on the flow of an elastico-viscous fluid past an infinite vertical plate is presented. The constitutive equations of Walter’s liquid B / are used. Solutions for velocity and temperature fields are obtained by Laplace transform technique for unit Prandtl number. Numerical computations for velocity, temperatures are made for different values of the physical parameters and presented in graphs. It is observed that in presence of thermal stratification and radiation both velocity and temperature reaches steady state at smaller time. Observations are also made on other physical phenomenon like skin friction, Nusselt number.
