Abstract

In this paper, the time-domain analytical expressions of the far radiation fields from an arbitrary polarized electric dipole above half-space are deduced when the observation point is far from the interface. At first, by using the reciprocity theorem the frequency-domain far field analytical expressions of the arbitrary orientation dipole above half-space are given. Then the time-domain far field analytical expressions including the time-domain reflection coefficients are obtained by Fourier transform. The time-domain reflection coefficients can be calculated by the time-domain propagating modes method. The proposed method can be used in the fast computation of the far radiation field of a pulse radiant source above half-space. The numerical results verify the accuracy and validity of the proposed method.
