Abstract

The radial distributions of the gain and the saturation energy density of the 510.6-nm line of a double-pulse CuBr laser were measured. With oven temperature varying from 420 to 480 °C, the distributions of the gain change considerably. At 480 °C the distribution of the gain has a strong peak near the wall of the tube. The peak values of the gain and the saturation energy density are 0.25 cm−1 and 53 μJ/cm2, respectively.
