Abstract

The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) ceases to exist at the end of this week, to be replaced by the Commission for Equality and Human Rights. As one of its last pieces of work, the CRE has reported on its formal investigation into the Department of Health (DH), looking at the department’s record on race equality issues and, more specifically, whether the DH is meeting its legal obligations under the Race Relations Act.
