Abstract

Predictors of postpartum severe maternal morbidity and mortality (SMMM) have been previously reported on a population-based level. On an individual patient-based level, we sought to identify risk factors for postpartum SMMM utilizing demographic and clinical characteristics during the antepartum and intrapartum periods and maternal early warning criteria (MEWC) collected at postpartum assessments.
