Abstract

SummaryHamsters exposed rectally to 5 rabies virus strains showed an incubation period between 5 to 8 days in comparison to hamsters exposed intraoculary whose incubation period was between 14 to 20 days. Brains removed from hamsters showing rabies symptoms contained numerous “Negri bodies.”
