Abstract

Information surrounding concomitant procedures performed during LVAD insertion has been largely inconclusive. Some studies have demonstrated benefits, whereas others have shown concomitant procedures to be associated with disproportionally higher morbidity and mortality. We sought to investigate this by looking at all concomitant procedures performed during HVAD insertion within a single centre in Sydney, Australia.
