Abstract

Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) remains an important cause of heart disease in New Zealand. Factors associated with the choice of treatment for advanced RHD remain variable and poorly understood. We sought to review our experience and clinical outcomes at treating young patients with RHD at Auckland Hospital. In particular warfarin compliance and implications were examined.
