Abstract

ABSTRACTExisting studies have established a stylized fact that worldwide antidumping (AD) activity is concentrated in R&D intensive industries. We build on this issue and analyse the effect of the interaction between financing costs and R&D intensity on AD practices using cross-country cross-industry data. Our findings suggest that R&D intensive industries file disproportionately more AD investigations when financing cost is high.
