Abstract
Corporate models can be valuable strategic planning tools. Traditional corporate models are expensive to develop and cumbersome to run. Engineers can now use electronic spread-sheet programs, available on personal computers, to rapidly build corporate models. This paper describes how this is done and tells how to avoid many common difficulties. Two case studies show how important insights can be developed from simple and understandable models.
