Abstract

Objective To study the efficacy of Qufeng Tongbi decoction combining needle warming moxibustion for rheumatic and cold arthralgia. Methods 72 patients with rheumatic and cold arthralgia treated at our hospital from September, 2017 to July, 2018 were selected, and divided into a control group (n=36) and a study group (n=36) according to different therapies. The control group were treated with diclofenac sodium, and the study group with Qufeng Tongbi decoction and needle warming moxibustion. The pain scores and therapeutic effects were compared between these two groups. Results Before the treatment, there was no statistical difference in the pain score between these two groups (P>0.05). After one and two treatment courses, the pain scores were better in the study group than in the control group (both P<0.05). The total effective rate was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (91.67% vs. 77.78%, P<0.05). Conclusion Qufeng Tongbi decoction combining needle warming moxibustion for rheumatic and cold arthralgia is effective.
