Abstract

The resolution of questions pertaining to the long-range growth and location of productive forces is one of the most important prerequisites to the effective functioning of the national economy. Socialism creates the possibility of solving problems in the development of the national economy with respect to the nation as a whole, permits the most rational utilization of manpower, natural, and productive resources for the benefit of man, and allows the optimal growth of individual branches and economic regions.
