Abstract

Duyne is recognised as one of the leading experts in economic and cross-border crime in Europe. He worked for the Dutch Ministry of Justice and as a professor at the University of Tilburg. In 1999 he set up the Cross-border Crime Colloquium and this has met annually since then. It brings together experts on international organized (economic) crime to discuss the latest developments in empirical research, legislation and law enforcement with a geographical focus on Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
