Querying Uncertain Spatiotemporal Data Based on XML Twig Pattern

Abstract

Query management of uncertain spatiotemporal data has become a hot spot nowadays. In the existing research, there are plenty of research works on general data, uncertain data, and spatiotemporal data query, but there are relatively few research results on uncertain spatiotemporal data query. Based on uncertain data, this chapter proposes Usd-Twig algorithm, which can query uncertain spatiotemporal data. By extending interval coding, the authors add spatiotemporal elements of uncertain data to represent uncertain spatiotemporal information, establish uncertain spatiotemporal data document tree, and redefine the relationship between father and son and ancestor-descendant among nodes. At the same time, the query process is discussed in detail by an example, which proves its feasibility and correctness. Finally, the complexity of the algorithm is analyzed.
