Quercus inopina: a species to be recognized from south-central Florida. Bull. Torrey Bot. Club 109: 392-395. 1982.-Morphological and phenological evidence indicates that Quercus inopina, a species of scrub oak described by Ashe in 1929 and endemic to south-central Florida, is, indeed, distinct from Quercus myrtifolia and should be recognized as a separate species.
