Abstract
The methanol extract of the whole plant parts of Polygonum viscosum has yielded a flavonol glycoside, 3- O-(6′′-caffeoyl)-β- d-galactopyranoside (1), the structure of which has been determined unambiguously by UV and a series of one- and two-dimensional NMR experiments, notably, 1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY45, HMBC and HMQC.
