Abstract
The model of a single-stranded random four-letter alphabet RNA sequence is presented. With the use of an approach of a constrained annealing applied previously to the random two-letter alphabet RNA sequence, the thermodynamic quantities such as the free energy, entropy, heat capacity, and so on, are computed. It is shown that the model of the four-letter alphabet RNA demonstrates both thermal and cold denaturation of the RNA at the appropriate choice of parameters.
