Abstract

In recent years, various surveys made on the ground, supported by dendrochronology or radiocarbon, helped correct or refine historical data concerning the foundation destructions and reconstructions phases of the city of Porsuk, identified as the ancient Tunna or Dunna according to Hittite and Assyrian sources. If there are still many questions, it is clear that the occupation phase of the Old Hittite Kingdom is much more important than previously thought. The evaluation of the gap between the end of the Bronze Age and the Iron Age remains delicate to assess precisely.
