Abstract
Current initiatives in access to public sources of information, such as data.gouv.fr which was launched at the end of 2011, represent a major step forward, if only in terms of visibility, in implementing linked data. Our dossier shows that this is only one step along a long road before we reach those « five stars » defined by Tim Berners-Lee : available, structured, in a non proprietary format, identifiable and semantically linked.With this dossier we invite you to join our large panel of experts as they address the technical aspects (what is it?) and the issues (to do what?). With a journal called « Documentaliste » there is no way we would skip over information management applications in these new concepts. It’s high time we seize this opportunity!
