Abstract

This paper is part of an ongoing research on the subject of Quechuan loanwords in spoken Colombian Spanish based on materials of the alec. The article offers a revision of the works, methods and perspectives that have addressed this matters to the date. The topic has some relevance on the description of Colombian varieties of Spanish since these Quechuan loanwords function as dialectal markers, given that Quechuan family has been identified as the source of most of the indigenous loanwords that characterize Colombian Spanish.
