Abstract

This paper describes the quasi-static analysis of planar transmission lines with arbitrary electrode thickness. A slightly modified mode-matching method, simple and fast approach to the quasi-static analysis, has been used to analyze the planar transmission lines with arbitrary electrode thickness and is validated through comparison with those from available other's results. The results show that the field patterns of planar transmission lines with arbitrary electrode thickness can be exactly predicted and quasi-static parameters can be obtained as a function of the ratio of electrode thickness.
