Abstract

A new fast time-dependent method for the computation of inviscid potential or rotational transonic flows is described. The method is significantly faster than the classical time-dependent techniques, and is constructed in order to be especially very efficient at transonic and at low speed flow regimes. It is applied to the computation of the transonic flow in a nozzle with small throat radius of curvature. The results compare favourably with those of other computations and with experimental measurements.
