Abstract

AbstractOwing to the split boundary conditions, there arise many difficulties in solving numerically the nonlinear equations describing the boundary‐layer flow. It is shown in this paper that the quasilinearization technique is a useful tool for solving the ordinary differential equations, which are obtained from the boundary layer equations through a similarity transformation. With very approximate initial guesses, only four to six iterations are needed to obtain a five digit accuracy.
