Abstract
Information on solvated and quasi-free electrons obtained from photoelectron emission (PEE) spectroscopy is discussed. Topics covered: production of quasi-free electrons in solution by optical transition: resolution of the absorption spectrum of solvated electrons in various solvents; rate of loss of kinetic energy of quasi-free electrons in solution from PEE spectra; energy distribution curve for electrons emitted by solutions in vacuum.
