Abstract

The origin of the spectral width of the ion temperature gradient (ITG) mode in a cylindrical plasma is studied. Density fluctuation spectra taken at various radial positions suggest the presence of two modes with different radial dependences. Bispectral analysis shows two modes with weak couplings to broadband turbulence. These data may indicate that the spectral width is composed of radial harmonics.
